AMC Cinema tickets now can be purchased through cryptocurrencies
AMC Entertainment, the world’s largest movie theater chain, will now accept cryptocurrencies for purchase of cinema tickets. The announcement was awaited since mid-September, when Company CEO Adam Aron tweeted the company’s plan to add cryptocurrencies as a payment method for its customer.
Businesses around the world are rapidly adopting the rally of cryptocurrencies to facilitate is customer. In near past Walmart, US retailer joint started a pilot to install Bitcoin ATMs at its locations around the country. Similarly, Litecoin, an altcoin cryptocurrency started to issue Visa enabled Litecoin cards.
The Company’s CEO took twitter to announce, that AMC proudly now accepts Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin cash as online payments for purchase of tickets through its website.
Mr. Aron further announced that Google pay, Apple pay and Paypal are also enabled as a payment means at the company’s website and Mobile App.
Last month AMC started to accept cryptocurrencies for purchase of e-gift cards.
